Phonevalley designs a mobile campaign to support the 5 per Mille fund raising of the "Istituto San Raffaele di Milano"

Phonevalley, the world's leading mobile marketing agency, has launched the "5 per Mille" fund raising mobile campaign in partnership with Equinox, a ZenithOptimedia company, in order to increase the 5x1000 of the "Istituto San Raffaele di Milano". The "5 per Mille" Italian mechanism collects tax contributions for charities (5 per thousand of the individual revenues).

The San Raffaele Hospital is a private scientific and care Institute recognized by the Italian Ministry of Health as a vanguard Institute carrying out biomedical research and clinical activities of relevant national and international interest. To support the scientific research, every year the "Istituto San Raffaele di Milano" launches a new advertising campaign in favour of "5 per Mille".

To increase awareness on the initiative and involve additional contributors, Phonevalley set up a mobile marketing campaign based on the creation of a mobile site, supported by a media plan on targeted mobile portals and the installation of 3 Bluetooth totems in some of the most important Italian airports.

Available on http://m.5xmille.org, the "5 per Mille" mobile site provides all information about how to donate the 5x1000 to the San Raffaele Hospital. A "click to call" feature is available to get in contact, thanks to a free number, with the Institute's call center which gives all the relevant information about the donation mechanism. Through a form, users can register to the newsletter in order to receive updates. The site furthermore gives access to videos and wallpapers to download, and to full details on the San Raffaele Hospital actions. A viral feature has been added to send the mobile site link to a friend.

To increase the traffic to the mobile site, Phonevalley has planned a display media campaign on targeted mobile sites, from Virgilio to La Repubblica Mobile, Nokia and Vodafone. The campaign additionally has been planned with a consistent distribution of SMS, MMS and VMS.

Bluetooth totems have been displayed in the Italian airports of Roma Fiumicino, Milano Linate and Torino. These interactive services in Rome and Milano have been placed inside Telecom Italia points of sales, which has therefore supported the initiative. The totems invite to receive the link to the "5 per Mille" mobile site to download exclusive contents (video and wallpapers) untill the end of June.

Alexandre Mars, Phonevalley CEO and Publicis Groupe Head of Mobile, is thrilled: "it is an honour to support the medical research of the famous Istituto San Raffaele di Milano. Mobile phones allow to engage with the "5 per Mille" program at any time and provide also a valuable service to Italian donators".
