DNA and Phonevalley present Nissan Europe's Ski Challenge - PROVE IT: the first social media iPhone application dedicated to skiers across Europe

Ski Challenge - PROVE IT creates a live community and offers skiers both an entertaining and valuable brand experience to prove their toughness on the slopes. They can take advantage of the iPhone geolocalization features to follow their friends on a 3D map of the slopes, access a guide to their resort, schedule meetings, record videos of their tracks and publish them on Facebook, and share their best tricks with the whole PROVE IT community.
Ski Challenge - PROVE IT complements the Nissan Europe PROVE IT cross-media winter campaign: it creates a skiing community through the only device that skiers bring to top of the ski slopes: their mobile phone.
A branded social application to provide both a valuable service and entertainment on the ski slopes
Ski Challenge - PROVE IT offers an opportunity to explore stunning interactive 3D maps of 45 European resorts including Tignes, Chamonix or Mayrhofen. iPhone users can turn around, zoom in, zoom out, and locate themselves as well as their friends on top of the slopes.
Moreover, the application includes social features to bring digital entertainment onto the slopes: skiers can share tricks, publish geo-localized photos, videos and events on the application's 3D maps and Facebook, and send messages to friends or schedule meetings at the closest mountaintop bar.
The application also allows photos and videos to be sent to Nissan's Prove-It platform on Facebook (www.nissan-proveit.com). Users can then participate in the Prove It challenge by proving they are 'tough like QASHQAI' and thus gain a chance to win a new QASHQAI online.
The application's "resort guide", based on Google maps, includes a description of the ski resort, its services and its hot spots for day and night life (restaurants, bars, bookshops, pharmacies, bakeries, taxis…). There's also an emergency contact button that allows skiers to call the resort in case of an accident.
Discover the "Record Your Run" function. Using the inbuilt GPS function of the iPhone, a user can start recording at the top of a run, stop at the bottom, and then a detailed map of their descent, including altitude, distance and speed, will be displayed on their iPhone.
With this "Record your run" module, iPhone users can check their performance on 3D maps, and compare it in terms of distance, speed and height with the whole PROVE IT community!
A support for the Nissan brand and its QASHQAI model
Ski Challenge - PROVE IT enables skiers to check the Qashqai & Qashqai+2 models in 3D through interactive 360° spins, photo galleries and trust features.
The campaign also features an integrated Facebook "PROVE IT" fan page available on www.Nissan-proveit.com. A mobile site has also been developed on m.Nissan-proveit.com to fulfill all non-iPhone users' interaction with the PROVE IT community.

How do I download the application?
To access the App store, press the App Store icon on the iPhone menu. Then press the Search button at the bottom of the screen. Type the keyword "Nissan" and then select the "Ski Challenge – PROVE IT" application from the list. Press "Free" and then "Download". Enter your password from your iTunes Store account.
Once the installation is completed, press the "Ski Challenge" icon on the iPhone menu to launch the application.

The Ski Challenge - PROVE IT application is available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
