The Europ Assistance group launches TripOrganizer, a practical and original application enabling you to prepare your trip by iPhone

As a direct, mobile extension to NetGlobers, (its community website devoted to travel risks, launched in 2009), the Europ Assistance group has launched TripOrganizer, a simple and practical application enabling iPhone owners to prepare their journey in a well-organised manner and to enjoy their trip with added peace of mind.

Thanks to the TripOrganizer application available in a first stage from American and British Apple Stores, web users now enjoy direct access to the useful information provided by NetGlobers, via their iPhones.

Created by Phonevalley, the world's leading mobile marketing agency, the TripOrganizer application proposed by the Europ Assistance group via NetGlobers provides a complete checklist of formalities to be completed before setting off, in addition to a number of useful tools and resources for anyone travelling abroad.

After having entered his nationality, country of residence and destination, the traveller is presented with a personalized checklist including details of all of the compulsory and recommended vaccinations, official documents which must not be forgotten at any costs, (such as visas and an up-to-date passport), details of the ideal medical supplies to take along in order to deal with any incidents during the journey, and insurance to be taken out before setting off. The application also makes it possible to localise the nearest vaccination centre on a map thanks to the application's geolocation features, and to store travel information (such as passport numbers and hotel contact details, etc).

As a handy, user-friendly source of information, the TripOrganizer features a progress bar at the bottom of the screen which continuously displays the state of progress with preparations for the trip and the formalities to be completed before the departure date."

Besides location-based services, the "petcentric" application provides tips and information about caring for dogs and cats. Pet lovers also can share pictures and videos of their furry friends for others to enjoy.

In the event that a NetGlobers member needs to take out an insurance policy (covering emergency assistance, loss of luggage or trip cancellations for example), he can sign up for the insurance he needs right away using his iPhone and his credit card (In-App purchase) or via an operator using the "click-to-call" button.

The TripOrganizer application also enables anyone travelling abroad to have a range of useful resources right there in their pocket including emergency telephone numbers for the destination country, a currency converter and a conversation guide. These can be accessed without a network connection to avoid roaming charges.

And because above all else your journey should be fun, the TripOrganizer application supplies all the useful information you need about local events during your stay, as well as keeping you briefed about the weather conditions and local time in your destination country.

Launched internationally, the TripOrganizer application is initially available in English and French and will shortly be available in Italian. It has been designed for the iPhone and iPod Touch and can be downloaded directly from the Apple Store.
